Delete your account
You can delete your Courrex account at any time. The fastest path is the in-app flow — it takes about a minute. If you can no longer sign in, email us and we will process the request within 30 days.
Include the email address or driver code associated with your account so we can find it. We respond within one business day.
Option 1 — delete from inside the app (fastest)
- Open the Courrex Driver app and sign in.
- Tap your profile in the bottom navigation.
- Scroll to the bottom and tap Request account deletion.
- Read what happens, type
DELETEto confirm, then tap Delete my account.
Your access ends immediately. We send a confirmation email when your data is fully removed (within 30 days).
Option 2 — email us (if you cannot sign in)
Send a request from the email address tied to your account to privacy@courrex.com with the subject “Account deletion request”. Include:
- Your email address (the one used to sign up)
- Your driver code, if you are a driver and remember it (otherwise skip)
- The company name, if known
We confirm receipt within one business day and complete deletion within 30 days, in line with our privacy policy.
What happens when you delete
Removed permanently:
- Your name, email, and profile photo
- Your login code or password
- Your chat history with dispatch
- All location pings tied to your account
- Push notification tokens
Anonymized and retained by your employer:
- Aggregate delivery statistics (number of stops completed, on-time percentage) — anonymized so they cannot be linked back to you
- Delivery records that the company is legally required to keep for accounting and transport-law purposes
The retention reason is straightforward: in Estonia and most EU countries, transport companies must keep proof-of-delivery records for several years. We strip your personal identifiers from these records when you delete, so the data that remains is no longer about you as an individual.
How long deletion takes
Immediately: your sign-in stops working and your name disappears from the dispatch view.
Within 30 days: your personal data is purged from our active database and from automated backups. Backups roll forward on a 30-day cycle, so the residual copy in cold storage ages out within that window.
Confirmation: we email you when deletion is complete. If you do not receive confirmation within 30 days, reply to your original request and we will follow up the same day.
Drivers — special note
If you are a driver employed through a Courrex customer (a delivery company), deleting your account stops you from logging in but does not automatically end your employment with that company. Talk to your dispatcher or HR before deleting if you are unsure — we cannot offer employment advice on their behalf.
Operators and admins — special note
If you are the only operator on a Courrex account and you delete, your company's drivers will lose dispatch coverage until another operator is added. Contact support@courrex.com first if you need to transfer the account to a colleague rather than delete it outright.
